A sharing of internal rotation throughout the lower limb and midline is key to dampen and decelerate forces acting on the limb in a distal to proximal & proximal to distal manner, and this sharing feature is commonly overlooked in training/rehabilitation.
If we lack rotational capacity at the hip, particularly internal rotation, our system may look to neighboring joint interactions to express this internal rotation
This is a key quality that we assess and treat if necessary. Check out the study to learn more!
